Canada's History Society calls for nominations for the Governor General's History Award for Community Program Excellence
Call for Nominations -'Governor General's HistoryAwardfor'excellence in community programs

Canada's History Society is currently seeking the best community projects - completed in the past 18 months - for the 2025 edition of the Governor General's History Awards for Community Program Excellence. These awards recognize programs and projects developed for the community by organizations dedicated to history, heritage, culture or community life.
Eligible projects include public and virtual conferences, forums, exhibitions, multimedia presentations, conservation or commemoration projects, or public programs such as outreach programs, participatory workshops or festivals.
Two awards of $2,500 each - one in a French-speaking community and one in an English-speaking community - will be presented at a memorable ceremony. To apply, or for full details of the awards, visit CanadianHistory.ca/CommunityAwards.
The deadline for nominations is July 15, 2025.
