Today, November 6, 2025, the Association des archivistes du Québec (AAQ), in partnership with the Réseau des services d'archives du Québec (RAQ), the Regroupement des archivistes religieux (RAR) and the Regroupement des services d'archives privées agréés du Québec (RSAPAQ), sent a joint statement to Mathieu Lacombe, Minister of Culture and Communications, drawing his attention to the urgent need to overhaul the Archives Act, passed in 1983.
