Call for proposals for the Concordia University Library Research Forum 2025 (Deadline: January 24, 2025)
About Concordia
You are invited to submit a proposal for the 23rd Annual Concordia University Library Research Forum. This year's Research Forum will be held on-site at Concordia University's Loyola Campus on Friday, April 25, 2025.
The Research Forum is an opportunity for librarians, archivists, graduate students, CEGEP and university professors and library practitioners to present their current or completed research projects or feedback. The Forum is also a place for researchers who wish to receive suggestions and comments to improve their research project, meet potential new partners, test the interest of their approach or promote research in university libraries. Registration is free of charge.
Our guest speaker this year is Sophie Montreuil. Sophie holds a master's degree from Université de Montréal and a doctorate and postdoctorate from McGill University. She has been Executive Director of Acfas since December 2019, having previously been Director of Research and then Senior Executive at Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec. She has been or still is a member of the board of directors of several organizations, and chaired that of the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal for six years. She has co-edited several collective works, including Faire connaissance: 100 ans de sciences en français, published in 2023 by Éditions Cardinal to mark the 100th anniversary of Acfas.
