The City of Quebec and Action Patrimoine, manager of the Heritage component of the Première Ovation program, are launching their fall call for projects for young professionals in Quebec City and Wendake. The deadline for submitting projects is November 15, 2024.

The objectives of the Heritage component of Première Ovation are to support the next generation of heritage professionals in Québec City, to develop their skills by promoting their integration into the professional world, and to offer them concrete and meaningful professional experience. The disciplines targeted by this measure include archaeology, archival studies, architecture, anthropology, ethnology, history, art history, museology, crafts related to heritage and architecture, urban planning, etc., or any other discipline enabling the preservation and enhancement of heritage.

Three fall scholarship programs

  • Presentation bursary (up to $7,000)
  • Professional experience bursary ($3,000)
  • Mentoring and immersion bursaries (mentoring: $1,300 - immersion: $1,000)

The scholarships awarded in the spring encouraged nine up-and-coming young people, and helped five organizations, museums and businesses in Quebec City and Wendake to bring their heritage projects to fruition.
